Here are SOME of the reasons why Autism Speaks sucks

Click on the link below to see where all the money goes that they rake in each year.

What Autism Speaks does with all that money they make

I could not agree more! It enrages me that an organization that is supposed to support and assist families with autism are instead spending all their money on high salaries, advertising, and parties.

Plus, don't even get me started on the pre-natal testing buzz they are generating in hopes of "eradicating" autism. We all know what that really means!

Sunday-Our disgust with Autism Speaks is still a minority opinion but I really hope that those of us that continue to expose them for what they really are about will slowly turn people away from this organization and towards ones that actually put people with Autism FIRST.

I feel so blessed to have "met" you and others on the internet that truly love their children with disabilities and don't look at them like they are a burden. Is life with a severely disabled child challenging and exhausting at times? Yes, but life with ANY child is. Like all the things we face in life our true colors show with how we respond. Unfortunately, the way some people respond to things in life it exposes how ugly they are inside.

Thank you for being one of the people who is "pretty" on the inside : )

I am just now really hearing about Autism Speaks Darkside. I am really pissed off about it. I did the walk last year, and have already got donations and am doing the walk in April. After that I will no longer be walking for them. What a huge disappointment. Thank you (and another blogger I read recently) for bringing the issue up to us less informed Parents!
